Transmission Stuck in Gear
If your vehicle seems to stick in one gear or has trouble shifting from one gear to the next, you could have a problem with your automatic transmission and it should be seen by one of our automatic transmission specialists. Watch out for:
- Engine light or any other warning lights on dashboard are lit up
- Vehicle labours when taking off
- Grinding noises when you change gear
- Automatic transmission not changing into the next gear when it should
- Shifting gears is difficult or happens late.
The fix:
- Fix or replace electrical components
- Install new auto trans computer
- Adjust, fix or replace transmission controls
- Major repair by opening up the transmission itself to check for damage.
